BARRIER: 100,000 UK sales for Mercedes
Mercedes-Benz have sold 100,000 new cars within a calendar year for the first time in their history.
The 100,000th car, delivered last week at Mercedes-Benz of Bristol, comes after the company posted record sales levels throughout 2013.
Mercedes-Benz’s 100,000th customer was Jamie Leigh Arndell, Transport Manager at Bristol and Avon Group, who purchased a Cirrus White A 180 CDI Sport.
Marcus Breitschwerdt, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz UK, said: “It is the first time in our UK history that we have broken into six figures – and there is still a full month of registrations to go before the year-end results.
“This is an unprecedented achievement by everyone who works in our passenger car division here at head office and across the network.”
