Trimble won for the second consecutive year

ABI Research’s 2014 Commercial Telematics Competitive Assessment have selected Trimble as top provider of fleet telematics for a second consecutive year.

The annual survey was assessed based on a number of criteria where Trimble emerged as the top player for market share of subscribers, vertical segmentation, quality and reliability, regional coverage and organisation health.

ABI Research said that Trimble’s success can be attributed to its organic growth, acquisition and increasing subscriber base, stating that through its strategic acquisitions, no other company offers the same depth and breadth of products and services to as many verticals in as many countries as Trimble does.

“To be recognised as the leading telematics service provider by ABI Research for a second year running reinforces the commitment we provide to our customers to deliver them with the best-in-class solutions needed to meet their requirements and ROI expectations,” said Ron Konezny, vice president of Trimble’s Transportation and Logistics (T&L) Division.

As part of its portfolio, telematics has played a central role in Trimble’s fleet offerings as an area of both strength and growth, particularly in its Transport & Logistics and Field Service Management divisions which were recognised in the ABI report.

“Innovation is at the heart of our business strategy,” said John Cameron, general manager of Trimble’s Field Service Management (FSM) Division. “We’ve recognised that more and more organisations are increasingly looking to integrate their Fleet Management capability with a solution that allows them to manage all aspects of their work and workers in one place and are delighted to be recognised as a leader in this field.”
