Goodyear Tyres is proud to announce that it has been appointed by Muztrans, a leading provider within the transport and logistics industry, to supply premium tyres for its full fleet of 49 trucks and 19 trailers.
Muztrans’ partnership with Goodyear will further its ambition to be the UK’s safest and most efficient provider of logistical services. Established in 2009, Muztrans now boasts three UK locations, with a fleet of varying sizes to suit customers’ logistical requirements. The company’s decision to switch providers has been based on Goodyear’s exceptional product range, competitive package, and their desire to remain with a premium tyre manufacturer.
As part of the agreement, Muztrans will equip its fleet with tyres from Goodyear’s KMAX range. Designed to provide extensive mileage, the KMAX tyres will help to reduce downtime and the cost of maintaining Muztrans’ fleet. The KMAX D and KMAX S tyres, which will be fitted to rigid trucks, meet the requirements of the M+S (Mud and Snow) and 3PMS (3 Peak Mountain Snowflake) symbols, meaning that they will provide superior performance in adverse winter weather. The KMAX T product will be attached to the company’s trailers, providing excellent braking on wet surfaces and fuel-saving potential.
Muztrans will also be using Goodyear’s retreadable TreadMax tyre, an innovative product which helps fleets to extend the life of their tyres. Once the tyre’s tread has worn down, the outer layer can be retreaded, maximising the life of the tyre. The Goodyear retread range provides many benefits, including environmental.
The tyre service and breakdown assistance will be delivered by Goodyear’s dedicated support network, TruckForce alongside network partner, Network Tyres. Providing access to 24/7 roadside support in the event of a breakdown, minimising the impact of any unexpected downtime and keeping Muztrans’ vehicles on the road.
