If you’re going to pull of a PR ‘stunt’ of this magnitude, it certainly helps to hire stuntmen, and Hyundai hired one of Hollywood’s best, Buddy Joe Hooker, to do it.
The legendary Buddy Joe has performed stunts for a majority of Hollywood blockbusters over the years including Terminator 2, Days of Thunder, and Scarface, so he was the ideal man to lead the convoy.
Hyundai’s ‘Empty Car Convoy’ video showcases their ‘driver assist’ technology features including the Smart Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Keep Assist System. The autonomous driving scenario was created to demonstrate Hyundai’s continuing commitment to driver safety and convenience across its vehicle range.
