Podfather will be launching a Haulier Management System at the Commercial Vehicle Show. Called Podswap, the system enables and manages the sharing of transport jobs between owner-operated and third-party fleets. It provides a common platform for job allocation, tracking, invoicing, and proof of delivery (POD) management, allowing seamless coordination of work and the provision of completed job confirmations to all parties.
“For years, many of our haulage customers – who rely partially or solely on third-party logistics partners – have asked whether a haulier management system was something we would consider,” says Colin McCreadie, Managing Director at Podfather. “Well, it’s here now, and we expect the system to be truly transformational in seamlessly integrating own and contract fleet work to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer service.”
Podswap allows jobs to be automatically uploaded and allocated, making optimum use of an operator’s own fleet and third-party fleets. Loads can be tracked, and deliveries confirmed using the Podfather POD driver app. Fully electronic, the system completely eliminates paper-based processes and manual data entry to enhance efficiency.
“Podswap shows what is moving, where and when, and which jobs have been completed and by whom. With just a few clicks, the system provides users with real-time visibility and full accountability across their logistics network,” McCreadie adds.
Electronic proof of delivery features include electronic signatures backed by photographs, all time/date and location-stamped. For companies receiving and completing work from others, Podswap can also be used to manage the entire process – from load allocation through to job completion.
