PAIR: Navman team with TEG

Transport Exchange Group are integrating Navman Wireless’ telematics solutions into their freight exchange platform, aiming to optimise fleet performance and boost profitability.

The change will see more than 4,500 UK road transport sector users look to eliminate empty running and wasting capacity through their vehicle tracking system.

Once registered, transport operators can now utilise their vehicle tracking system to promote available capacity and match precise vehicle locations with around 40,000 loads posted on the exchange each month.

By taking advantage of the live vehicle tracking data integration, trading partners can also view the whereabouts and progress of their loads while in transit.

Lyall Cresswell, Managing Director of Transport Exchange Group, said: “We recognised the added value our freight exchanges could deliver to other fleet and transport systems, so our latest Exchange 2.0 version of the platform was developed with integration in mind.

“We are now in discussions with a wide range of like-minded technology providers that operate within the logistics marketplace, such as Navman Wireless, to take advantage of the collaborative opportunities that exist.”

Peter Millichap, European Marketing Manager at Navman Wireless, added: “We are continually looking to enhance the functionality of our vehicle tracking tools to help our customers overcome the operational challenges they face.

“Our solutions are proven to improve the productivity and efficiency of a fleet, so it makes perfect sense to integrate with other industry-leading technology systems such as Transport Exchange Group’s freight exchange platform to provide additional value and boost performance.”
