TARGET: Toyo to further promote tyre safety
Leading high-performance manufacturer Toyo Tires have become the latest big-name player to join TyreSafe.
The company, who join a growing list of brands signed up to the scheme, will campaign alongside other members to raise awareness about the dangers of illegal and defective tyres.
Toyo will support the campaigns TyreSafe have planned for 2014, including those targeting motorcyclists, young drivers and HGVs.
They will also support October’s Tyre Safety Month, which this year will focus on tread depth.
Stuart Jackson, Chairman of TyreSafe, said: “Safety already plays a key part of Toyo offering with detailed care and safety advice for drivers on its website.
“Now that it’s joined TyreSafe, we will be able to work closely together and offer even more education to its customers, further spreading the tyre safety message.
“Toyo Tires will celebrate its 70th anniversary next year so it’s fantastic to have another prominent and long standing member of the tyre industry on board.”
“We’re delighted to be joining TyreSafe at such an exciting time.”
