MoD choose Lex Autolease as vehicle fleet supplier

SELECTED: Lex chosen by MoD

Lex Autolease are set to add more than 1,000 vehicles to the Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) non-combat white fleet.

The vehicles, which will be delivered within the next five months, will comprise of cars including the Peugeot 208 and Vauxhall Astra, as well as light commercial vehicles.

All vehicles will be unmarked and used for the transportation of staff between bases, with the contract hire agreement including full maintenance and accident management.

They were ordered as part of Project Phoenix, a £400million procurement framework established by the government in March.

Lex Autolease have provided 3,828 vehicles to the MoD since the project’s launch.

Simon Tearle, Senior Corporate Relationship Manager at Lex Autolease, said: “With over 30,000 service personnel based across the country, an efficient, modern and well-maintained fleet is absolutely essential to an organisation like the Ministry of Defence.

“Securing the latest fleet requirement enables us to further strengthen our longstanding relationship with the department having worked with the MoD for over 12years.

“We are proud to be supporting the hardworking men and women in our armed forces.”
