TRACKER: Find your car with new app
Mercedes-Benz are launching a new Mile Tracker app to help fleets track mileage, fuel costs, journey details and parked vehicle location.
Aiming to support everyday business travel, the newly-launched app is available for iPhone and Android users.
It offers three key elements – the GPS-based Mileage Tracker, the Journey Log and a Locate My Car function.
A pioneering Fuel Station Finder will also be available exclusive to Mercedes-Benz customers later in the year.
The Mileage Tracker tool enables users to start, pause and save a journey, then review it on a map and add in additional costs, such as sustenance, parking and tolls.
Once saved, the Journey Log then contains all of the journeys tracked and enables users to review any single journey.
Reports can then be edited; for example to change the name of a journey, add expenses, duplicate the route or email the details to up to three preferred addresses for reference.
The Locate My Car feature can be used simply by saving the location on the app’s map, writing a description of the location, and setting a ticket time reminder.
When returning to the vehicle, users simply press the ‘route’ button to be shown the quickest way back to the car.
