SUPPORT: Masternaut track Davina McCall

Masternaut’s technology is being used to track this year’s BT Sport Relief challenge, starring TV personality Davina McCall.

‘Davina – Beyond Breaking Point’ sees McCall push her body to its limit in a seven-day, 500-mile triathlon that started on Saturday in Edinburgh and will finish in London.

Masternaut have installed a support vehicle with a real-time tracking solution, monitoring the former Big Brother presenter’s progress as she runs almost two marathons, swims across Lake Windermere and cycles more than 450miles.

The technology wirelessly transmits McCall’s exact location and speed throughout the seven days of the challenge.

It allows support staff to continuously monitor her wellbeing, and ensures she stays on-route and keeps to the scheduled timings.

Stephen Meadows, Challenges Project Manager at Sport Relief, said: “We are extremely grateful for Masternaut’s continued support on our Sport Relief challenges.

“The tracking system will play a huge part in ensuring the public are able to track Davina’s location as she takes part in this year’s gruelling physical test.”

Martin Hiscox, CEO and Chairman of Masternaut, added: “As always, we are proud to be supporting such a worthy cause which every year transforms the lives of so many people across the world.

“We wish Davina the best of luck on this challenge and will be with her every step, stroke and pedal of the way!”
