Market Engineering, Europe’s leading communications agency for automotive technology businesses, will be coordinating media activities for three clients at this year’s Low Carbon Vehicle show at Millbrook Proving Ground, 6-7th September:

Williams Advanced Engineering (Hall 3, stand C3 – 603) is the division of the Williams Group that harnesses Formula One derived technology and expertise to create innovative new technologies for the motorsport, automotive, defence and healthcare sectors. At LCV, Williams Advanced Engineering will:

•  preview a series of new technologies for electric and hybrid vehicles

•  preview a series of new technologies for electric and hybrid vehicles

•  demonstrate new approaches to EV technology integration

•  preview a new approach to affordable carbon fibre components in production volumes

Williams Advanced Engineering specialists will be available to discuss these new technologies and how the business is being re-shaped as an innovation business generating its own in-house IP.

Drive System Design (Hall 3, stand C3 -121) is a leading engineering consultancy specialising in the engineering, development, test and control of transmission and future driveline systems for conventional, hybrid and electric vehicles.

DSD will be presenting two papers at the show:

  • Ultra-lightweight design of a single speed EV transmission, explores the potential gains of adopting a full system approach to transmission mass reduction for EV applications.
  • The future of the connected powertrain, Discusses a cost-effective monitoring system that provides a step-change in the understanding of individual transmission usage profiles by interrogating the data available through increased levels of vehicle connectivity.

The company will also be showcasing two technology developments:

  • MSYS, a next generation, low cost and highly efficient powertrain for electric vehicles.
  • An innovative hybrid module providing a compact, robust integration solution for JLR’s hybrid powerpack into its PHEV demonstrator.

Prodrive (Hall 3, stand C3 – 302), a world leading motorsport and technology business, will be discussing its expertise in electric and hybrid vehicle systems and integration.

An example of which will be available to view at LCV in the form of the new Ford Transit PHEV. Prodrive has helped develop the hybrid drivetrain and will build 20 PHEV Transits that will be delivered to commercial fleets across London for a twelve-month trial supported by Transport for London.
