Liquid Fleet has promoted Deborah Stewart-Downs as its new head of business development as the company continues to reach its target of reaching 5,000 vehicles by the end of 2028.

This comes as Liquid Fleet look set to celebrate a 20% growth in 2026 revenues based on a healthy increase in corporate short-term leases and a growth in demand for rental vehicles through its broker partners.

Stewart-Downs has worked at Liquid Fleet for the past five months and prior to that was with van converter Bott for nine years, most recently as head of sales. This followed an 18-year career with Vauxhall Motors as a corporate sales manager which gives her an extensive knowledge and network in the fleet industry.

Stewart Downs is well on the way to building Liquid Fleet’s sales team to give it a national presence when engaging with its broker and corporate customers, which will be at the heart of its fleet extension from its current 3,000 vehicle level.

Leigh Hartzenberg has joined the team as Business Development Manager – North. Previously, she worked in the facilities management industry as well as having spent time in the rental industry with the Dawson Group.

Lucy Summers has joined as Business Development Manager – Central after previously working for Enterprise Mobility, while Grace Hall has joined as broker manager. Hall will be responsible for growing Liquid Fleet’s partnership and opportunities with the ever-growing broker community having previously worked in the contract hire and leasing sector with both Motorlease and Summit Drive. Stewart-Downs now has a southern Business Development role to fill to give Liquid Fleet its largest ever sales team.

She said: “It’s great to be offered this position as it draws on my strengths in building and developing a sales team. The company is very focussed on its ambition of growing to 5,000 vehicles and the team and I will be working hard to achieve this goal through growing our customer based across broker, rental and corporate sales.”

Liquid Fleet’s Commercial Director Martin Potter said: “We are already extremely pleased how the sales team is shaping up at a time when more companies than ever are looking at the flexibility that shorter term leases provide its employees. Meanwhile, the rental broker sector continues to offer us opportunities for growth from our strong stock sourcing partnerships we have in place with 20 OEMs.”
