LANDMARK: FMG target world record

FMG are aiming to set the world record for the most recoveries carried out in 24hours– all in a fundraising effort for Children in Need.

Operatives and recovery partners at FMG will be looking to load a ‘broken down’ car onto a recovery vehicle as many times as possible today.

The attempt will take place at FMG House, St. Andrews Road, Huddersfield.

Ian Leaver, Technical Trainer at FMG, said: “As a business, we’ve been very proactive when it comes to charity, and have raised thousands for our nominated charities every year.

“We wanted to look at ways in which we could use our expertise to raise funds for Children in Need this year, and came up with the idea of this vehicle recovery marathon.

“Our people and partners have got right behind the project and we’re ready for snow, rain, wind or sunshine.

“We hope to raise lots of cash for the cause, and we’ve already raised well over £1,000.

“We’ll be holding additional events throughout the day to boost this further.”
