EXPANSION: Sam Weller, of trg Logistics
Sam Weller is the new Training Manager of trg Logistics’ distribution arm.
Mr Weller will be responsible for Driver CPC planning, training standards and the commercial delivery to all external and internal clients.
He will report directly to Andy Frost, Logistics Director of the Epsom-based company.
Mr Weller has extensive experience in the planning and implementation of all driver licence acquisition in both non-vocational and vocational categories.
He also has knowledge of the facilitation and business development of government-funded programmes to both adult learners and apprentices within the logistics industry.
Mr Weller said: “The training and compliance issues in the supply of drivers to the logistics industry are becoming critical in the maintenance of legal requirements, with the deadline of the Driver CPC for HGV drivers fast approaching.
“As industry leaders in the provision of fully trained drivers to all clients, trg Logistics, through the implementation of its world-class driver programme, must ensure that all legal and regulative issues are adhered to – so accurate planning and foresight is required.”
