BMW have revealed the new X4 ahead of its dealership arrival in July.
The vehicle, BMW’s first Sports Activity Coupe for the premium mid-size segment, will be priced from £36,590, and offer fuel economy of up to 54.3mpg and CO2 emissions from 138g/km.
Boasting a choice of three high-performance diesel engines and the xDrive all-wheel-drive system, it will also be able to sprint 0-62mph in 5.2seconds.
The vehicle is just 14mm longer than the X3, but 36mm lower to the ground – offering ‘perfectly balanced proportions and distinctive sporting character’.
Standard SE kit includes Variable Sport Steering, 18inch light-alloy wheels, Park Distance Control, Performance Control, Xenon headlights, leather steering wheel, heated front seats and BMW Business Media package.
For an additional £1,500, the xLine trim level will add 18inch light-alloy wheels, Satin Aluminium exterior trim, Dark Copper interior trim, Sport seats and xLine leather upholstery.
The M Sport model will cost an additional £3,000 over the SE and offer M Aerodynamic bodystyling, High-gloss Shadow Line exterior trim and 19inch M Sport light-alloy wheels.
Optional kit will include full-colour Head-up Display, Professional Multimedia Navigation system, High-beam Assistant, Driving Assistant Plus including Pedestrian and Collision Warning with City Braking function, Active Cruise Control and Lane Departure Warning.
