The organisers of the Silverstone Classic are delighted to announce a significant new partnership with AMT, one of the UK’s largest independently owned vehicle rental, leasing and sales companies.
AMT has been appointed as the Official VIP Courtesy Car Partner for this month’s massive three-day day extravaganza (28-30 July) taking place at the home of British motor racing less than two weeks after the British Grand Prix.
As the world’s largest classic motor racing festival, the Silverstone Classic encompasses the entire Silverstone estate. Both pits and paddock complexes are overflowing with motor sport history and the entire infield areas packed with family entertainment plus more than 10,000 privately owned classic cars. Thus the swift and efficient movement of key personnel around the fun-filled 760-acre site is critical to the event’s smooth-running and success.
AMT, a company that is understandably passionate about cars having been renting, leasing and selling the very best in premium and specialist cars for more than 20 years, will be providing a fleet of its vehicles to ensure VIP guests, competitors, and media are always where they need to be throughout the weekend.
In addition to the movement of VIPs throughout the weekend, AMT will also be displaying some of its most impressive supercars including a Ferrari California and the new Honda NSX in VIP hospitality, at driver sign-on and other key areas throughout the event. One of these supercars will be given away for one week’s free rental in an exclusive VIP and Driver competition.
“The vast scale of the Silverstone Classic could be something of a logistical challenge without the presence and expertise of essential and enthusiastic partners such as AMT,” explained Nick Wigley, CEO of organiser, Goose Live Events. “Moreover, with its proven passion for cars and own impressive heritage, AMT is the perfect partner to the world’s largest classic motor racing festival.”
“Partnering with the Silverstone Classic as its Official VIP Courtesy Car Partner is a hugely exciting opportunity for AMT,” agreed Neil Burroughs, Group Sales Director at AMT. “It is a perfect place for us to showcase what our brand offers, from premium vehicles right up to the most exclusive supercars in the world. We are now really looking forward to meeting the drivers and guests across the weekend and sharing in their love of great cars and competitive motor sport.”
VIP transfers courtesy of AMT are included in all hospitality upgrades which – like all levels of admission tickets – must be purchased in advance.
All tickets provide access to racing paddocks, trackside grandstand seating, live music concerts on both Friday and Saturday evenings featuring the Bootleg Beatles and Tony Hadley formerly of Spandau Ballet, vintage funfair rides, air shows and car club displays as well as a host of other family-friendly demonstrations, activities and entertainment.
Full ticket details, including options for hospitality and camping, plus all the latest news are available on the official website silverstoneclassic.com and via the event’s social media platforms.
