Signs up after seeing the benefits first hand

Well known for its service checking employee’s validity to drive, Licence Bureau has now signed up to driver eyecare eVouchers for its own staff, to help ensure they are safe to drive.

Over the last 18 months, Licence Bureau has, as an additional benefit, given in excess of 10,000 Premium Club Vouchers to its clients. These entitle them to a £20 discount in any Specsavers store across the UK. Having seen the benefits of driver eyecare first hand, Licence Bureau has now decided to provide eyecare for its own employees, using Specsavers Corporate Eyecare’s eVoucher system.

Malcolm Maycock, managing director of Licence Bureau, says: “We are keen to support the message of the importance of good driver eyesight, and we have found that regular eye examinations are the best way to ensure eyesight is adequate for driving.”

The Driver Eyecare eVouchers provide all employees at Licence Bureau with a full eye examination. This checks not only that they have all the essential eyesight requirements for driving, like sight over distance, peripheral vision and the ability to refocus between objects, but also the overall health of the eye. If staff require glasses to drive, these will be provided within the cost of the voucher. If not, they will be able to choose a pair of non-prescription sunglasses.

Suzanne Randall, corporate account manager at Specsavers Corporate Eyecare, says: “Through their work, Licence Bureau is well aware of the issues of driver safety and the impact this can also have on the employer. We are pleased that they have decided to further our relationship by becoming a client as well as a partner.”
