Employers who wish to upskill their staff in project management and supply chain management can now sponsor them to study with Coventry University via two newly launched degree apprenticeships.
The BSc (Hons) Logistics and Supply Chain Management and BSc (Hons) Project Management degree apprenticeships are scheduled to start in September this year and are open to people who are employed in relevant roles.
The pace of logistics, procurement and supply chain management is accelerating, and modern supply chains also utilise new technologies like business analytics and the Internet of Things in a broader digital cloud.
Designed in partnership with employers, the Level 6 supply chain management degree apprenticeship aims to prepare graduates with the practical skills, business acumen and digital literacy needed to take full advantage of this globally competitive and dynamic business environment.
The Project Management degree apprenticeship is a Level 6 qualification that equips apprentices with the skills they need to become professional project managers.
In addition to gaining a degree at the end of the course, apprentices take the Association for Project Managers (APM)’s Project Management Qualification examination at the end of the second year, which is an internationally recognised qualification and a pre-requisite of this apprenticeship’s end point assessment.
Apprentices who successfully complete the course are also eligible to apply for full membership of the Association for Project Management.
Both degree apprenticeships are delivered over four years and can be customised to meet individual organisational requirements based on candidate experience, qualifications, background, and business needs. Learners will take a day per week from their full-time employment to attend teaching sessions on campus, provided it is safe to do so, or online.

These two degree apprenticeships have been designed in partnership with employers to meet their need for highly skilled and adaptive employees who can be effective in such an environment. The cost of the apprenticeship can be covered by the Apprenticeship Levy, but we also work with non-levy organisations. Non-levy paying organisations can get substantial government funding available under the co-investment scheme.”
