DX, a leading provider of delivery solutions, including parcel freight, secure courier, 2-person and logistics services, is pleased to announce the opening of a new depot in Maidstone, Kent. This depot is part of the continuing expansion of the Group’s Parcels business, which operates within the DX Express division, and offers highly secure, tracked deliveries to businesses and consumers.
The new depot provides additional capacity for the Group’s Parcels network in the South-East. Located on a 1.3 acre site on St Michaels Close, Aylesford, it has excellent transport links, with easy access to both the M2 and M20 motorways. The depot’s opening will reduce stem mileage, carbon emissions, improve operational efficiencies and enhance customer service levels, a key focus for the Group.
This latest opening takes the total number of depots in the DX Express network to 42, with eight being opened in 2023. This forms part of the ongoing capital investment programme in the business, which underpins management’s plans to continue driving the Group’s growth and development.
Paul Ibbetson, Chief Executive Officer of DX Group, commented: “We are pleased to add this new depot in Maidstone to our DX Express division as part of our continued investment in the business. The new depot will enhance our position in the South East, increasing the capacity and capability of our Parcels operation. It will deliver further efficiencies to our operations and provide local customer service benefits a priority for the Group. It will also lower carbon emissions by reducing stem mileage.
“We look forward to integrating this new depot into our existing network and continually improving the service offering that we provide to our customers.”
