Women Automotive Network has announced the return of its Annual European Summit, set to take place at Forum am Schlosspark, Stuttgart, Germany on 8th October 2024.

Reflecting on the journey from 2019 to 2024 reveals a remarkable evolution in diversity and inclusion within the automotive sector, says the Network.

Women Automotive Summit Europe 2023The inaugural summit held by the Women Automotive Network in 2019, themed “Collaboration Not Competition,” laid the groundwork for a widespread shift within the industry, emphasising the importance of embracing diverse perspectives and shared objectives.

Fast forward to the present day, and the Network’s extraordinary growth from 175 attendees to over 34,000 members globally underscores the industry’s heightened awareness of the significance of diversity and inclusion.

The Network’s flagship event in Germany is expected to be the most attended Women Automotive Summit yet with over 450 participants and 700+ Live attendees worldwide.

European event attendees can expect a line-up of speakers, including returning favourites like Linda Jackson, CEO of Peugeot, whose insights continue to resonate long after the event concludes. Alongside Jackson, new voices will take the stage to share fresh perspectives and innovative strategies for advancing diversity and inclusion in automotive.

The event will feature insightful sessions led by influential speakers, such as Fedra Ribero, Board Member at Bosch, Sabine Angermann, VP of Purchasing at Porsche, and François Dossa, Executive Director Strategy & Sustainability, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).

As the industry convenes in Stuttgart on 8th October, the question lingers: Is the sector witnessing real change? Despite these advancements, significant challenges persist, many of which are deeply ingrained within corporate cultures, comments the Network.

Women Automotive Summit Europe 2023According to recent poll data from the Women Automotive Network, a staggering 50 percent of individuals are willing to accept a lower salary to work for a company more aligned with their values.

Additionally, 84.4 percent are prepared to change employers if their values no longer align with those of their current organisation.

These statistics highlights the critical role corporations play in creating inclusive workspaces and the importance of aligning organisational values with those of employees.

Whether attendees are seeking actionable insights to navigate industry challenges, are passionate advocates for diversity and inclusion, or are committed to driving positive change within the automotive landscape, this event offers something for everyone.

Women Automotive Network is encouraging the industry to not miss this empowering day dedicated to celebrating women and their allies in the automotive industry.

Previous attendees have raved about the event’s unique energy and collaborative atmosphere.

Following 2023’s Summit, a member of the Supervisory Board at Daimler Truck AG remarked: “It‘s hard to describe in words the special kind of energy and vibe that was there right from the start entering the conference area. I met so many great, interesting, and powerful ladies.”
