Enviro-Clean have put a unique Volvo FH / Kaiser Whale recycling tanker into service.

In operation, the vehicle will also benefit two key charities, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Water Aid.

Supplied by Volvo Truck & Bus Centre North and Scotland, Glasgow East, the 32-tonne GVW 8×4 rigid features a 6400mm wheelbase, 460hp Euro-6 engine and a Globetrotter cab.

Enviro-Clean’s high specification also includes an enhanced I-Shift automated gearbox with multiple power-take-off functions, uprated front steel spring suspension and a high chassis ride height.

Employing over 100 full time staff and operating a fleet of 85 vehicles, Enviro-Clean was founded 20 years ago. On call 24/7/365, the company operates Scotland’s largest multi-use waste fleet in which Volvo Trucks predominate.

Transport manager Findlay Robertson said, “Volvo Trucks have a product range and back-up service that is second-to-none, in addition to being the preferred operator and driver choice at Enviro-Clean. I like the fact that you can speak to an engineer directly on the telephone or face-to-face at the Blantyre dealership.’

Enviro-Clean’s new Volvo FH-460 8×4 rigid is fitted with the first Kaiser Whale Continuous Dirty Water Recycler in Scotland.

The three compartment stainless steel tank has capacities for 2,800 litres of clean water, 1,000 litres of overspill and 11,750 litres of debris or sludge. In use the truck recycles clean water, whilst separating any sludge safely into its holding tank.

The Volvo 8×4 rigid can also deliver high pressure jetting and powerful pressured vacuum suction operations. Operated by a remote control handset, the Kaiser Whale recycler is also fitted with a full range of health and safety equipment.
