Brigade launches Haloniq video telematics platform
Brigade Electronics has launched Haloniq, a new video telematics software solution designed to bring fleet risk, compliance and management functions together within a single secure environment.
The purpose-built platform combines Brigade’s established hardware portfolio with software, global installation capability and local support, giving commercial fleet operators greater visibility of vehicles, drivers and assets while helping them identify safety risks, streamline compliance and improve operational decision-making.
Haloniq is designed to address the increasingly complex demands facing fleet managers, particularly as operators seek to combine video telematics, vehicle tracking, driver monitoring and compliance data without having to manage multiple disconnected systems.

Unified fleet management and video telematics
Brigade says Haloniq has been developed as a single platform, bringing together functions that would traditionally have required several separate fleet management and compliance systems.
The platform links individual events with supporting video, journey information and reports, allowing fleet managers to move from identifying an incident to understanding its circumstances without having to switch between different applications.
Brigade describes this as providing “two-click simplicity”, with the aim of reducing the administrative burden associated with fleet monitoring while improving access to actionable information.
For commercial fleet operators, the combination of live vehicle tracking and intelligent video can provide a more detailed picture of what is happening on the road. Rather than relying solely on telematics data or reviewing video footage separately, fleet managers can connect events and footage to gain a clearer understanding of driver and vehicle performance.
This can support investigations following incidents while also helping operators identify recurring behaviours or operational issues that may require further attention.
The platform is intended to provide greater visibility and control across driver, vehicle and asset performance, with data being converted into insights that can support day-to-day fleet management and longer-term decision-making.
Brigade hardware integration
A key part of Haloniq’s proposition is its integration with Brigade Electronics’ extensive hardware portfolio.
The company has more than 2,000 products covering vehicle cameras, detection systems and other safety technologies. This allows the software to receive information directly from a broad range of vehicle-mounted safety equipment and connect that data with telematics and fleet management information.
The approach is designed to provide continuity from the initial capture of an event through to the delivery of information to the fleet manager.
Brigade says camera configurations can be aligned with established industry requirements, including the Direct Vision Standard (DVS), Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) and Construction Logistics and Community Safety (CLOCS) standards.
This is particularly relevant to operators working in and around urban areas where vehicle safety equipment and compliance requirements are becoming increasingly important.
Haloniq also supports remote tachograph downloads, providing another tool for fleet operators managing drivers’ hours compliance. Bringing this functionality into the same environment as vehicle tracking and video data can reduce the need for fleet managers to work across separate systems.
Device-agnostic approach
While Haloniq is designed to work with Brigade’s own hardware, the platform is not restricted to the company’s products.
Its device-agnostic architecture allows it to connect with third-party equipment, potentially giving operators greater flexibility when introducing the system into an existing fleet.
This could be particularly useful for mixed fleets where vehicles are already fitted with different generations of cameras, telematics devices or other safety technologies. Rather than requiring every vehicle to use the same hardware before data can be brought together, Haloniq is designed to accommodate a broader range of equipment.
The platform also incorporates a REST API, enabling communication with other fleet management, telematics and complementary software systems.
This integration capability is becoming increasingly important as fleet operators look to consolidate data from different sources while retaining existing technology and workflows.
