The Highland Council implements Masternaut Connect to create a safer, more efficient fleet
The Highland Council, which covers the Scottish Highlands and is the largest local government area in the United Kingdom, will now benefit from Masternaut Connect and its powerful suite of fleet management solutions to ensure route efficiency and evaluate driver risk.
Masternaut Connect will be operating across a fleet of 238 vehicles, covering all council vehicles exceeding 3.5 tonnes including road sweepers, LGV haulage, dedicated winter maintenance, gully emptying and refuse collection vehicles.
Fleet managers at The Highland Council will have access to Masternaut Connect’s powerful suite of modules, giving it 100% accurate information in real time across its entire fleet of vehicles. This information will allow The Highland Council to plan the most effective routes to save on fuel, as well as evaluate driver behaviour and risk, in order to improve road safety.
Richard Evans, Head of Roads & Transport, The Highland Council, commented:
“Being the largest local government area in the UK, we needed a solution that could give us a clear view of our diverse range of vehicles. The challenge we faced was accurately tracking all our vehicles across a large area, to create effective routes that save on fuel. Masternaut Connect provides us with this clarity.”
Steve Towe, Chief Commercial Officer and UK Managing Director, commented:
“What Masternaut Connect is giving public sector fleet managers is 100% accurate data in real-time, allowing them to become more informed when it comes to effectively managing a diverse fleet.”
