Evri invests £1.3m in new Gloucester parcel depot
Evri Group has opened a new £1.3 million depot in Gloucester, expanding its parcel delivery network across the South West and creating dozens of permanent jobs.
The new facility at Indurent Park Gloucester in Quedgeley replaces the company’s previous operation in Tewkesbury, which had reached capacity. The investment will help Evri manage rising parcel volumes, strengthen regional operations and improve its ability to meet customer demand.
The depot has created 38 permanent roles across warehouse, driving, operational and management functions. The investment also supports local employment while providing additional capacity for the growing logistics business.

New Gloucester depot boosts parcel handling capacity
Spanning more than 57,000 square feet, the Gloucester depot offers significantly more operational space than the previous Tewkesbury site. Its location next to junction 12 of the M5 also provides strong transport links across the South West.
Evri expects the facility to process around 8,000 parcels each night. During peak periods, that figure could rise to approximately 13,000 parcels, helping the business manage seasonal surges and increasing demand for deliveries.
The additional capacity should also give Evri greater flexibility across its regional network. By expanding its infrastructure, the company aims to maintain service levels for business customers and consumers as parcel volumes continue to grow.
The new depot forms part of Evri Group’s wider investment programme following its acquisition of DHL eCommerce UK. The business continues to develop its infrastructure to support growth and strengthen its position in the UK parcel delivery market.
Sustainability features support logistics operations
The Gloucester facility includes several sustainability features designed to support more efficient logistics operations. Solar photovoltaic panels will help generate renewable electricity, while electric vehicle charging infrastructure will support the company’s transition towards lower-emission transport.
These additions reflect the growing importance of energy efficiency and vehicle electrification across the logistics sector. Parcel operators face increasing pressure to manage emissions while maintaining reliable delivery services and responding to rising volumes.
The site’s larger footprint and strategic location also provide a platform for future development. Evri can use the additional capacity to respond to changing customer requirements and support its longer-term network plans.
Evri highlights regional investment and growth
Gary Chalk, Director of Depots at Evri Premium, said: “The opening of our new Gloucester depot represents a significant investment in our network and demonstrates our commitment to supporting customers, clients and the communities we serve. This new facility provides additional capacity, resilience and flexibility across the Southwest while creating 38 permanent roles in the region. As parcel volumes continue to grow, investments like this are helping us build a stronger, more efficient and future-ready network.
“Following the acquisition of DHL eCommerce UK, we are continuing to invest in our infrastructure to enhance service, support long-term growth and deliver greater choice and reliability for customers.”
The investment comes as Evri pursues ambitious growth targets. The company plans to handle one billion parcels in 2026 and aims to increase that total to 1.4 billion by 2030.
Achieving these targets will require continued investment in depots, transport infrastructure and operational capacity. Facilities such as the new Gloucester site will play an important role in helping the business accommodate higher volumes while maintaining service standards.
For fleet and logistics operators, the development also highlights the importance of strategically located distribution facilities. Access to major road networks, sufficient parcel-handling capacity and charging infrastructure can all influence operational performance as delivery demand evolves.
Evri’s latest investment strengthens its presence in the South West and provides additional capacity to support future growth across its UK parcel delivery network.
