DX, the logistics specialist covering parcel, freight, fulfilment and final mile services, has expanded its dangerous goods transportation capability, allowing customers to move a wider range of products through a single integrated logistics partner.
The enhanced service operates wholly within the Limited Quantity (LQ) rules and forms part of DX’s wider programme to increase the depth and scope of its logistics operations.
The expansion builds on DX’s initial entry into the dangerous goods sector through its biological materials service. The company now supports the delivery of a broad range of approved dangerous goods through its parcel and pallet networks.
Products covered include paints and coatings, cleaning chemicals, aerosols, adhesives and sealants, lubricants and oils, resins and solvents, industrial chemicals, lithium batteries and battery-powered equipment.
DX can also support customers whose products fall outside its standard Limited Quantity service by providing alternative logistics solutions. This gives businesses the option of maintaining a single point of contact and consistent consignment visibility, even where individual products require different transportation arrangements.
DX dangerous goods service expands customer choice
The enlarged service covers mainland UK and is supported by a newly launched online information hub, designed to make it easier for customers to understand the service and establish whether their products are eligible for transportation through the DX network.
The hub also provides a direct route to guidance from DX’s dedicated in-house team. The company says it will continue to develop the platform, adding further tools and resources to support customers using its dangerous goods services.

The expansion gives manufacturers, distributors and other businesses handling regulated products greater flexibility when selecting logistics services, while DX’s ability to provide alternative solutions for goods outside its standard LQ offering could help customers simplify their supply chains.
