Wrapped in lime green with Isuzu’s dark green canopy to match Glendale’s distinctive branding, the new fleet certainly won’t be hard to spot!
Isuzu UK has secured a major fleet deal to provide Glendale, the UK’s leading supplier of green service solutions, with 25 utility-spec double-cab D-Max pick-ups.
Fleet Operations Manager for Isuzu, Alan Able, says of the deal: “It’s very gratifying that Glendale has chosen the D-Max for its vehicle of choice, as we know it has very high expectations when it comes to the quality, reliability and economy of its fleet.”
Explaining Glendale’s reason behind the choice to purchase the Isuzu pick-ups, Mark McKinnon, Company Engineer at Glendale, says: “Due to winning a recent tender with Western Power Distribution, Glendale contacted Isuzu with the prospect of the deal, but with a very short lead time. The whole process has felt like more of a partnership from day one and everything has been delivered in the most professional way. The vehicles have been prepared to our specification at a very high standard, including corporate wrapping and decals, Chapter 8 decals and lighting, off-road wheels and tyres, PDI and road registration.
Launched in the summer of 2012, the D-Max continues to impress, winning numerous prestigious accolades including Fleet Van’s ‘Pick-Up Truck of the Year’, Trade Van Driver Magazine’s ‘Best 4×4 Trade Pick-Up’, and VansA2Z.com’s ‘Pick-Up of the Year’ in just the last few months.
The Isuzu D-Max is available in three body styles – single, extended and double cab – with prices starting from £14,749 (CVOTR) for the entry-level single cab 4×2, rising to £25,995 (CVOTR) for the range-topping Isuzu D-Max Blade Auto. The Isuzu D-Max is fitted with a super-efficient 2.5-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, producing 163 PS and 400 Nm of torque, is able to tow a class-leading 3.5-tonnes (braked) while still returning fuel economy of 38.7 mpg (combined), and is available with a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission.
Every Isuzu D-Max sold in the UK comes with the company’s pioneering five-year / 125,000-mile warranty, as standard.
