Genesis expands salary sacrifice EV test drive programme
Genesis Motor UK has expanded its extended test drive programme for salary sacrifice drivers, helping customers gain valuable real-world experience of an electric vehicle before committing to a long-term lease and ensuring full immersion in Genesis model range.
As demand for salary sacrifice schemes continues to grow across the UK, Genesis constantly looks to support its growing brand presence and this enhanced customer offer provides eligible drivers with the opportunity to experience the fully electric Genesis range for up to four days, insured by Genesis Motor UK, enabling a more informed choice when selecting their next car via their employer scheme.
The programme was initially introduced as a pilot earlier this year, with a select group of funding partners and following the successful trial and unanimous praise from customers, the initiative has now been expanded and is available to salary sacrifice customers through participating leasing providers, with more information also accessible via the Genesis website.
Genesis’ fully electric range is particularly well suited to salary sacrifice schemes, with customers increasingly choosing battery electric vehicles through employee benefit programmes. However, most drivers considering a vehicle through salary sacrifice do not have access to the same extended vehicle evaluation opportunities as traditional company car users.
Recognising this, Genesis developed its extended test drive programme to give prospective customers the opportunity to experience a vehicle in their day-to-day lives, helping them better understand how it fits their individual driving needs and the full benefits associated to the Genesis lineup from design, comfort and charging technology.

Interest in the programme reflects the growing appeal of the Genesis electric vehicle line-up on UK roads, with the GV60 accounting for approximately half of all bookings, followed by Electrified GV70 and Electrified G80 models. Customer demand has also demonstrated the strong appeal of Genesis’ high levels of standard specification across the range and powerful road presence.
The expansion comes as salary sacrifice schemes continue to see significant growth, driven by the increasing adoption of electric vehicles, favourable Benefit-in-Kind taxation and employers’ sustainability objectives. With battery electric vehicles accounting for around 83% of the salary sacrifice fleet, Genesis is continuing to support customers considering the transition to electric mobility through flexible and accessible test drive experiences.
