OPEN: New Audi A8 now up for grabs
Audi’s new flagship A8 is now open for orders, with prices starting from £58,800.
Due for delivery in January, the revised range features numerous technological advances and engine upgrades, with power and efficiency boosts in the majority of models.
The supercharged 3.0litre TFSI petrol engine is boosted from 290PS to 310PS, while the V8 twin-turbo 4.0litre TFSI moves from 420PS to 435PS.
Meanwhile, the 3.0litre TDI increases from 250PS to 258PS, with the 4.2litre TDI gaining 35PS, taking it to 385PS; both are now classed as ‘clean diesels’.
The A8 is available in three specification levels – SE, SE Executive and Sport Executive.
SE models have been further enhanced by 18inch alloy wheels in a new design, electromechanical power steering and all-LED headlights with a high-beam assist function.
Lighting and steering upgrades transfer to SE Executive variants, while Sport Executive models gain new MatrixBeam LED headlights and Mobile Phone Preparation – High with Audi connect.
This feature brings Google Earth, Google Street View, online traffic information and a Wi-Fi hotspot capability to the car.
