REVEALED: S63 AMG Coupe launches later in 2014

Mercedes-Benz have unveiled the new S63 AMG Coupe.

Boasting a 585hp AMG 5.5litre v8 biturbo engine, the vehicle can sprint 0-62mph in 3.9seconds, reaching a top speed of 155mph and offering a combined fuel economy of 27.9mpg.

The two-door coupe is paired with AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT seven-speed sports transmission, with drivers able to configure their own personal setup based on their driving style.

Buyers will also be able to enjoy world-first curve tilting function – part of the MAGIC BODY CONTROL suspension system – which allows the vehicle to lean into bends in the fashion of a motorcyclist or skier.

The S63 AMG Coupe is also 65kg lighter than its predecessor thanks to AMG Lightweight Performance.

It will premiere at next month’s New York International Auto Show, before hitting the UK later this year.
