Bridgestone have revealed their brand-new Toolbox Touch app at the Commercial Vehicle Show.

The app – a digital fleet management solution – is native to Windows 8 and records large quantities of tyre data before providing operators with analysis and reports.

Fleet managers can access information, as well as keep track of monthly expenses, pressure maintenance, removal causes, retreadability, tyre life, cost per kilometre and inventory control.

The application categorises Bridgestone’s Total Tyre Care approach into three distinct packages: Monitor, Manage and Maintain.

Monitor is aimed at fleets who purchase tyres through a service provider or dealer but would welcome assistance in optimising or confirming a maintenance programmme.

Subscribers to this service receive regular visits from Bridgestone tyre professionals, who will inspect a sample of tyres; data is captured on the app and presented back to the fleet.

This provides insight into tyre maitenance and performance levels including analysis of pressure, damage and retreadability.

Bridgestone then work alongside the fleet to help generate financial cutbacks.

Manage, meanwhile, sees Bridgestone professionals and service partners compile a tailor-made package to meet the fleet’s requirements.

Andy Mathias, Product and Marketing Manager at Bridgestone, said: “The app represents a big advance in both technology and efficiency for Bridgestone.

“It records inspection of tyres on vehicles and quickly generates user-friendly reports for fleet consulting services.”
