Copart UK adds industry-first DAF XD Estepe 7-Car transporters
Global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling, Copart UK, has become the first company in the UK salvage industry to introduce DAF XD 7-car transporters featuring specialist Estepe conversion chassis, strengthening its market-leading transport fleet.
The arrival of the first two DAF XD Estepe transporters marks another milestone in Copart UK’s ongoing investment in its logistical capabilities. The company says the new vehicles will help ensure customers continue to benefit from fast, safe and efficient vehicle collections, whatever the circumstances.

As demand for vehicle recovery and transport services increases, driven by the growing UK vehicle parc and increasingly unpredictable weather events, Copart UK is continuing to develop its fleet to meet changing customer requirements.
The company operates more than 500 company-owned, fully branded and digitally connected vehicles across the UK, creating one of the most diverse transport fleets in the industry. From single-car recovery vehicles to multi-vehicle transporters, the fleet allows Copart UK to respond flexibly to a wide range of vehicle collection requirements.
By owning and managing its own fleet, Copart UK has also developed a more resilient transport operation, reducing its reliance on third-party resources. This provides customers with greater certainty, particularly when demand across the wider vehicle recovery market is high.
DAF XD Estepe transporter increases capacity
The new DAF XD 7-car transporters represent the latest stage of Copart UK’s fleet investment strategy. The vehicles feature a professionally lowered cab roof, with the specialist Estepe conversion creating an ultra-low profile that allows vehicles to be safely loaded over the cab while remaining within strict vehicle height regulations.
The design increases vehicle-carrying capacity while supporting safe, compliant and efficient transport operations. It also gives Copart UK greater flexibility when transporting vehicles of different sizes and types across its nationwide network.
Phil Briggs, Director of Operation Centres, Transport and SVO at Copart UK, said: “We’re proud to be the first company in the salvage industry to introduce these DAF XD Estepe transporters. They are another example of how we’re building a fleet that’s fit for the future, giving us even greater flexibility to collect vehicles of all types and sizes safely, efficiently and at scale.
“By maintaining a diverse range of transport solutions, we can ensure that the right vehicle can be deployed for every collection. This helps our drivers to access more challenging locations while providing the most suitable and fuel-efficient transport option.”
The introduction of the DAF XD Estepe transporters further strengthens Copart UK’s ability to provide swift, safe and reliable vehicle collections nationwide. The investment also demonstrates the company’s focus on transport innovation as it responds to changing demand across the UK salvage and vehicle recovery sector.
