Autogas roll out all the stops with nationwide LPG conversion network
Following the launch of a brand new nationwide vehicle conversion network, it’s now easier than ever before for drivers to slash their motoring costs by running their vehicle on LPG autogas.
For the first time ever, the new Autogas approved conversion scheme provides drivers with a dedicated branded experience where they can expect to receive the highest levels of service and attention, including quality engine conversions by Autogas assessed engineers, a fast and efficient service, a courtesy car during the duration of the work and further post-conversion support including membership of the Shell Drivers’ Club and £50 worth of free fuel.
“Thousands of shrewd drivers already choose to convert their car to run on LPG autogas each year in the UK, but this new network will make it much more accessible and high-profile,” explains Linda Gomersall, general manager, Autogas Limited. “Recent research found that around a third of UK households would consider converting their car to LPG autogas, so the new network is an ideal way to help them achieve this so they can start saving with the cheaper, cleaner fuel.”
Members of the Autogas approved conversion scheme were hand-picked by the company after rigorous assessment to ensure they could deliver work and service to the very highest standards. Furthermore, all workshops are also approved members of the UKLPG industry, meaning they are subject to ongoing scrutiny and assessment.
Following the initial launch, Autogas expects the network to grow to some 20 members by the end of 2015, giving good geographic coverage across the whole of the UK.
Drivers looking to make the switch to LPG and benefit from cheaper motoring are invited to submit an enquiry via the Autogas website www.autogaslimited.co.uk where they will be connected with their nearest scheme member.
The website also contains further information about the conversion process which typically takes two days to complete at a cost of around £1,200 – £1,600 for a 4-cylinder engine. Once completed, motorists can immediately start to reap savings of around 40 percent on their fuel bills.
