Audi A5 TDI Ultra
If whispers on the corner are to be believed, it sounds like Audi are on course to smash its UK sales records again in 2014.
Insiders are hinting that the final sales tally for the manufacturer could end up topping 160,000 when registrations are declared next year, due in part to a record first six months where 85,000 cars were sold.
“The problem for us is not one of demand but of supply,” the company says. “Even the Q7, which is now our oldest car, is still in huge demand.”
One of the key aspects to this boost has been the new ultra versions of the A4, A5, A6 and A7 – low-emission, fuel economy leaders of their respective ranges – which are already claiming 3.8% of all Audi’s UK sales.
Audi expect sales of these models to become even greater over the next few years as business users start looking for their next company car when current contracts expire.
