One of the UK’s largest financial investments in vehicle fleet management, logistics and support services, has been announced by SMH Fleet Solutions. The new 40,000 sq. ft. facility represents an investment of some £16 million and building work is currently underway at a green field site at Thurleigh in Bedfordshire. It is anticipated that up to 200 new jobs will be created.
The new facility is on track to become the most advanced and modern refurbishment centre in Europe and in addition to providing vehicle inspection, repair, logistics and refurbishment, there will be secure storage space for some 4,500 vehicles.
SMH Fleet Solutions has been proving high quality services to the automotive fleet and leasing industry for over 25 years and has five locations strategically positioned around the UK.

The new SMH Fleet Solutions vehicle refurbishment centre is schedule to become fully operational by October this year. The building work is being undertaken by G.F.Tomlinson Construction on the 29 acre Thurleigh Airfield site situated just north of Bedford and close to main road links.
