SUPPORT: Northgate launch safety initiative
Northgate Vehicle Hire are backing Brake’s annual Road Safety Week with an internal initiative.
The company’s Bright Van Man mascot will hit the road once again, while also raising awareness via a dedicated intranet page, website page, posters and an information sheet.
All materials will be featured across all Northgate branches within the UK and Ireland.
Colin Gilstin, Group Safety and Environment Manager at Northgate Vehicle Hire, said: “Road Safety Week gives us an opportunity to promote to our staff and customers the dangers of attempting to multi-task whilst driving.
“We all know multi-tasking whilst driving increases the risk of becoming less observant and massively increases the chances of being involved in an accident.
“With the help of our safety mascot, Bright Van Man, we’re encouraging drivers to think twice before they attempt to multi-task at the wheel and ask themselves the question – can it wait?
“The majority of the time, it can.”
