Krone trailer on the road

Mapon partners with KRONE on a data exchange integration

Mapon, a leading provider of fleet management solutions in Northern Europe, has joined forces with German commercial vehicle manufacturer KRONE to develop an innovative integration for more efficient data processing and analysis within the logistics sector.

The collaboration enables seamless access to critical data from KRONE trailers and chassis, including real-time location tracking, cold storage temperatures, door security status, tyre pressure, and other essential metrics. Recognising that logistics companies often manage fleets comprising vehicles from various manufacturers, Mapon’s platform consolidates all real-time data into a single, user-friendly dashboard. Importantly, carriers won’t need to install additional hardware, as the integration facilitates a secure exchange of information between the data centres of both companies.

“KRONE is an industry leader, and partnering with such a globally respected company represents a major milestone for Mapon’s growth,” said Davis Siksnans, CEO of Mapon. “This collaboration showcases the trust a company with over a century of history places in our team and expertise. We are committed to proving this trust well-placed as we jointly develop cutting-edge solutions for the logistics industry.”

Maximilian Birle, Head of KRONE Digital Services, added: “In today’s increasingly digitalised world, seamless data exchange between partners is critical. Our partnership with Mapon underscores our commitment to equipping KRONE trailer customers with advanced tools that streamline operations and enhance competitiveness. This integration simplifies access to crucial fleet data, empowering smarter decision-making and operational excellence.”

KRONE, which employs nearly 6,000 people, boasts an annual turnover nearing €3 billion. Established in 1906 by blacksmith Bernhard Krone and his wife Anna in Spelle, Emsland, the company has grown from a modest blacksmith shop to a global enterprise. Successive generations have expanded the family business, introducing innovative trailer designs and relocating production to a larger facility in Werlte in 1963 to meet growing demand. Today, KRONE remains a trusted name in the commercial vehicle industry, renowned for its quality and innovation.

By integrating their technologies, Mapon and KRONE are setting new standards for fleet management and logistics efficiency, paving the way for smarter, data-driven operations.
