The L6 EV is the Chinese brand’s first fully electric SUV and joins the flagship L8 PHEV in the UK line-up. Designed around modern urban life, the new electric SUV combines compact dimensions with a spacious interior, generous luggage capacity, a 279-mile WLTP driving range and a comprehensive range of standard equipment.

UK customers will be able to choose between two well-equipped trim levels: Essence and Elevate. The Essence comes with an extensive range of technology, safety and comfort features, while the higher-specification Elevate adds additional luxury, convenience and intelligent parking technology.

LEPAS L6 EV performance and range

Both versions of the LEPAS L6 EV use a 65kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and a front-mounted electric motor developing 160kW (217PS) and 275Nm of torque.

The electric SUV can accelerate from 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 111mph. Its 279-mile WLTP range is intended to make the L6 EV suitable for both everyday commuting and longer journeys.

When charging is required, the L6 EV supports DC charging at up to 120kW. This enables the battery to be charged from 30 to 80 per cent in approximately 22 minutes.

The L6 EV is built on LEPAS’ LEX Platform, a new-energy architecture developed around intelligence, efficiency and safety. Its integrated 12-in-1 electric drive system has been engineered to deliver efficient and smooth power delivery, while electric power steering and an electric brake booster are fitted as standard.

Bosch IBP 2.0 braking technology is also standard. The system has been developed to improve braking performance, energy recovery and pedal feel, while reducing the pitching sensation sometimes associated with electric vehicles.

As with the L8, LEPAS’ European chassis team has carried out dedicated development work on the L6 EV to refine its characteristics for European roads. The aim is to combine smooth electric performance with the ride comfort and predictable handling expected by European drivers.

Leopard-inspired LEPAS L6 EV design

The L6 EV brings LEPAS’ Leopard Aesthetics design philosophy to the C-SUV market. Its clean, flowing profile includes styling details inspired by the movement, confidence and agility of one of nature’s most elegant predators.

Signature ‘Hunting Eye’ LED headlights are complemented by a wide-body profile inspired by a leopard in motion, together with distinctive LED rear lighting.

Measuring 4,570mm long, 1,852mm wide excluding mirrors and 1,676mm high, the L6 EV combines SUV road presence with dimensions suited to urban driving. Its 2,700mm wheelbase helps maximise interior space, while 159mm of ground clearance provides additional everyday versatility.

Both Essence and Elevate versions receive 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels as standard. LED headlights with Intelligent High Beam Assist, LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights are also fitted across the range.

Electrically adjustable, heated and power-folding door mirrors with puddle lights are standard, while privacy glass is fitted to the rear windows and tailgate. Acoustic laminated front side windows are designed to help reduce outside noise.

The L6 EV is available in Lucid White at no additional cost, while five pearlescent exterior colours are available for £500. These include Phantom Grey, Cosmic Black, Quicksilver, Solar Orange and Supernova Purple.

Spacious and technology-focused interior

LEPAS has designed the L6 EV interior to create a calm, spacious and intuitive environment, with technology integrated into a clean and uncluttered cabin.

A wrap-around cockpit places the driver at the centre of the driving experience, while a 13.2-inch waterfall-style central touchscreen provides access to key vehicle functions. A large panoramic sunroof also helps bring additional natural light into the cabin.

The LEX Platform has enabled LEPAS to create a flat rear floor, providing additional legroom and giving rear passengers more space to stretch out.

The boot offers 410 litres of luggage capacity, increasing to 1,334 litres with the rear seats folded. There is also 99 litres of hidden underfloor storage, providing additional room for charging equipment, shopping and other items.

Standard equipment across both variants includes a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, dual-zone climate control, rear air vents, a heated multifunction steering wheel, heated front windscreen, keyless entry and go, and 40/60 split-folding rear seats.

The entry-level Essence features Basalt Black fabric upholstery and six-way manually adjustable front seats.

Moving up to Elevate brings Basalt Black full leather-effect upholstery and six-way electric adjustment for both front seats. The driver also benefits from four-way power lumbar adjustment, while heated and ventilated front seats are standard.

The Elevate additionally features a power tailgate, Nano-Aqua Ion Air Purification System and 256-colour ambient lighting.

LEPAS L6 EV safety and driver assistance

Safety has been engineered into the L6 EV from the outset. Developed in line with 2026 Euro NCAP testing protocols, the electric SUV combines a strong passenger structure with extensive airbag protection, advanced driver assistance technology and high-voltage battery protection.

Both trim levels feature 22 advanced driver assistance functions. These include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Emergency Lane Keeping, Blind Spot Detection and Traffic Jam Assist.

Rear Traffic Cross Alert and Rear Traffic Cross Braking are also standard, alongside Rear Collision Warning, Door Open Warning, Intelligent Speed Limit Control and Front Distance Monitoring.

Front and rear parking sensors and a 540° panoramic camera system are fitted as standard to both variants. The Elevate adds Advanced Parking Assist (APA) and Remote Parking Assist (RPA).

Infotainment and connectivity

Technology is a key part of the L6 EV specification, with both versions featuring a 13.2-inch central touchscreen and an 8.88-inch Retina LCD digital driver display.

A Qualcomm 8155 infotainment processor provides the computing power for the vehicle’s connected functions, while the ‘Hello LEPAS’ AI-powered voice assistant allows drivers to control key vehicle functions using voice commands.

The system is designed to reduce the need for drivers to operate physical controls or interact directly with the touchscreen while driving.

Both variants also feature 50W wireless smartphone charging with active cooling, together with two front USB-C ports and USB-A and USB-C connections for rear passengers.

The Essence comes with a six-speaker audio system, while the Elevate receives a premium eight-speaker SONY system.

Another useful feature is the standard 3.3kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability. This allows owners to use energy stored in the L6 EV’s battery to power compatible external electrical equipment, adding flexibility for activities including outdoor trips and camping.

LEPAS L6 EV warranty and ownership

LEPAS is offering the L6 EV with a seven-year/100,000-mile manufacturer warranty and an eight-year/100,000-mile high-voltage battery warranty.

The vehicle also comes with a 12-year/unlimited-mileage corrosion perforation guarantee and a three-year/unlimited-mileage paintwork guarantee.

RAC Roadside Assistance is provided for the first 12 months and is automatically renewed for up to seven years when scheduled servicing is completed at an authorised LEPAS service centre.

Over-the-Air (OTA) and Firmware-Over-the-Air (FOTA) updates will also allow software and vehicle functions to be updated throughout the L6 EV’s life.

With a 279-mile WLTP range, rapid 120kW DC charging, a spacious cabin and extensive standard technology, the LEPAS L6 EV is set to give the emerging brand a strong presence in the increasingly competitive UK electric SUV market.
