KB Event expands Krone fleet with 60 bespoke Dry Liners
Nottinghamshire-based event logistics specialist KB Event has taken delivery of 60 new Krone Dry Liner box trailers, expanding its fleet to 200 Krone units for operations across the UK and Europe.
KB Event supplies logistics and transport services to the live events, exhibitions, broadcast, entertainment and touring sectors, and the latest addition has been tailored specifically to the demands of that industry. The new trailers include a range of bespoke features designed to enhance loading flexibility, cargo security and overall vehicle performance.
A standout specification is the dual ride height function, which enables the trailers to work with different tractor unit coupling heights while keeping the load platform level. This is paired with dedicated ramp carriers built to house 3,750 mm x 1,000 mm loading ramps, a detail that reflects the practical realities of loading heavy event equipment on tour.
Cargo security has also been a key focus. The trailers are fitted with Krone’s keyhole side wall loading system, which offers multiple options for load restraint and load bar positioning, helping crews secure a diverse range of event equipment quickly and safely. An insulated roof further protects sensitive or valuable cargo from extreme temperatures, while full-length internal LED strip lighting improves visibility during loading and unloading, particularly useful in the low-light conditions common at event venues and during early morning or late-night get-ins.
Each trailer is finished in KB Event’s fleet livery and comes equipped with premium floor sealing, additional LED loading lights and integrated load restraint equipment. The units are also backed by Krone’s 10-year anti-rust-through warranty, underlining the long-term durability built into the specification.
Richard Burnett, CEO of KB Event, said the new trailers were the result of close collaboration with Krone. “We’ve worked closely with Krone to develop a trailer specification that reflects the specialist demands of our operation,” he said. “The trailers combine the durability and build quality we expect with a number of bespoke features that make day-to-day loading, unloading and transporting equipment more efficient for our teams and for the crew onsite.”
He added that the investment was about maintaining service standards for clients who rely on KB Event to move high-value equipment across a demanding schedule. “Our customers depend on us to deliver valuable equipment safely and in excellent condition,” Burnett continued. “These new trailers help us maintain high standards while providing the flexibility and reliability we need to support a busy events schedule throughout the UK and Europe.”
The delivery also reinforces a long-standing partnership between KB Event and Krone Trailer UK. With a 200-strong Krone trailer fleet now in operation, KB Event is well placed to continue supporting major live events, exhibitions, broadcast productions and touring schedules across the UK and Europe, with the new Dry Liner units set to play a central role in day-to-day logistics for years to come.
