SEALED: Vauxhall happy with big order
Vauxhall have secured a deal to supply 60 Vivaro vans to Imtech UK.
The agreement, which is part of Vauxhall’s ongoing arrangement to supply more than 100 commercial vehicles across the group, came about following a competitive tender exercise based on whole life costs.
Carried out by ERA Fleet Cost Management, the tender saw Vauxhall come out on top across the whole life cost board.
The 60 British-built L1 H1 Vivaro Doublecabs have been specified in Sportive trim, and are equipped with the Euro V-compliant 2.0litre CDTi 115PS engine.
All vans, which have a plylined loading area and have been decked out with the company’s livery and a telematics system, are expected to cover 30,000miles each year.
The vehicles will form part of a group-wide deal between Imtech UK Ltd and their subsidiaries, split across Imtech Engineering Services, Inviron and Imtech Traffic and Infra servicing engineers.
They will join 20 Combos and a handful of Corsavan and Movano vehicles currently on the fleet.
Jim Goodhead, Group Supply Chain Director at Imtech UK, said: “We are always looking for new ways to lower the cost of our fleet while increasing the efficiency.
“We appointed ERAFCM to make this a reality by reviewing the current market, and after an extensive tender process, Vauxhall was identified as the best option for the various service operations across the group.”
Richard Collier, National Commercial Vehicle and B2B Sales Manager at Vauxhall, added: “This group-wide deal will help the engineers at Imtech UK Ltd and its subsidiaries as they go about their daily business due to the vans’ comfort, economy and reliability.
“We are also extremely proud that we have contributed towards Imtech realising its vision in reducing its overall fleet costs while increasing its efficiency.”
