UNWRAPPED: New Vivaro facing summer launch

Vauxhall have taken the wraps off their new Vivaro van.

Revealed ahead of its summer launch, the second-generation LCV will boast state-of-the-art technologies and Vauxhall’s award-winning ‘sculptural artistry meets technical precision’ design philosophy.

It will be available with two diesels: a 1.6litre CDTi and 47mpg 1.6litre BiTurbo CDTi with sequential turbocharging and a twin-cooling system.

The Vivaro’s exterior offers a large, prominent grille, distinctive headlamps and the flowing blade side feature from Vauxhall’s design language.

Headlamps are executed in high-gloss black mouldings with embedded chrome accents, with daytime running lights coming with signature Vauxhall wing graphic design.

Customers will be able to choose from two body design trim levels, depending on whether the Vivaro is used as a robust van or a large-capacity combi.

The first level, Vivaro, displays the front bumper, grille, side mirror housings and vertical rear mouldings in a durable, black textured plastic material.

In the Sportive trim level, all body elements including the front bumper, side mouldings, vertical rear bumper corners and the side mirrors are painted in the vehicle’s body colour.

Buyers can choose to kit the Vivaro out in any one of eleven standard colours – five solid and six two-coat metallic finishes.
