WHISPER: New diesel is a landmark for Vauxhall
Vauxhall are adding a new 1.6litre ‘Whisper Diesel’ to their Astra range.
The CDTi powertrain, which offers economy of up to 76.3mpg and CO2 emissions of 97g/km, is Vauxhall’s cleanest-ever mid-size diesel and will be revealed at March’s Geneva Motor Show.
From April, it will be available in two power outputs, 110PS and 136PS, and in both hatchback and Sports Tourer body styles.
The Euro VI-compliant engine has previously only been available on the Zafira Tourer and Meriva.
