SPEAKER: Kevin Rooney to address delegates

Kevin Rooney, Traffic Commissioner for the North-East of England, will speak at the forthcoming FTA Fleet Engineer Conference.

Presenting his priorities, Mr Rooney will address delegates at the June event, which is aimed at individuals with responsibility for specifying commercial vehicles, ensuring roadworthiness compliance and maintaining vehicles.

FTA Fleet Engineer is sponsored by Brigade Electronics, DAF Trucks, Goodyear and Isuzu Trucks, and takes place on Wednesday, June 11, at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham.

The Fleet Engineer conference sessions are to cover a wide variety of topical engineering issues including EC Whole Vehicle Type Approval, tyre technology, and DVSA load securing and enforcement update.

Latest research, development and innovation in vehicle design, technical legislation update and alternative fuelled vehicles will also be discussed.

The cost for FTA members is £325, plus VAT, for the first delegate and £275, plus VAT, for subsequent delegates.

For non-members, the cost is £385, plus VAT, for the first delegate and £345, plus VAT, for subsequent delegates.
