Toyota’s refreshed RAV4 will boast new all-wheel-drive for the 2.0litre D-4D engine, it has been revealed.

On sale now at £22,195, the SUV range also sees higher specification added to the Icon and Invincible grades, with new options including Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

The Toyota Touch 2 touchscreen multimedia system will also make its debut in the range, while the optional Toyota Touch 2 with Go incorporates improved navigation functions.

RAV4’s 122hp 2.0litre D-4D AWD is available in Icon and Invincible grades, coupled to a six-speed manual transmission and returning 137g/km CO2 emissions and 53.3mpg fuel economy.

The Toyota Touch 2 package includes Bluetooth, rear-view camera, vehicle information, climate control and settings management.

It also enables connection of iPods and MP3 players via USB or Bluetooth, with Toyota Touch 2 with Go adding satellite navigation, emergency directions and real-time traffic data.

Meanwhile, Icon models adopt keyless entry and easy push-button start as standard, together with new two-tone 18inch alloy wheels.

Invincible grade models now offer a black or a new beige leather seat upholstery option, while front and rear parking sensors have been added.
