Recently-relaunched TomTom Telematics have taken the wraps off their new seven-inch terminal PRO 8275, the latest addition to their WEBFLEET fleet management solution.

TomTom claim the new tablet-like device will allow fleets to streamline end-to-end processes, integrating field staff and vehicles into the overall operation.

Staff will now be able to capture more information on the move, such as digital signatures for proof of delivery, vehicle checks and barcode scanning.

Only around 18% of the 4.5million vans on the UK’s roads are tracked, and Irvin Gray, Marketing Manager at TomTom Telematics, said the device would help to seriously exploit a huge untapped market.

He added that visitors who have so far checked out the new device have ‘loved it’, and the product would particularly attract customers who already have tracking fitted but are looking to upgrade to a more cutting-edge system.

“The PRO 8275 has been a long time coming,” he said.

“It offers endless possibilities for further development and has growth potential that is through the roof.”
