DEAL: 30 new tippers for Francis

Cheshire-based haulier Francis Transport are replacing 30 of their existing four-year-old curtainsided trailers with new models from TIP Trailer Services.

The order, of 30 brand-new SDC13.6m high-roof trailers, is part of a five-year deal and has been aided by TIP’s Equipment Funding programme.

Francis’ deal means that 20 of the trailers will sport their own livery, with the remainder kitted out in the wrapping of ALPHA, a key customer.

All trailers will be operational from various locations in Northwich, Wigan and Milton Keynes.

The agreement is a further extension of a long-term relationship between Francis Transport and TIP.

John Crisp, TIP Equipment Funding Sales Director for UK and Ireland at TIP, said: “Francis Transport and TIP has worked closely on this long-term fleet replacement programme and, by using our proven TEF funding relationships, we have been able to structure the ideal trailer replacement solution for them.”

All the new SDC curtainsided trailers have an internal height of 3.1metres, with all involved in the distribution of high-volume packaging products for a range of contracts.

In total, Francis Transport now run a fleet of 80 dry freight trailers and 30 tractor units.

John Francis, Director at Francis Transport, said: “Looking back over the years, TIP has consistently looked after us whenever we are considering trailer replacements.

“They give us excellent personal service, matched to the optimum finance deals and it is a partnership that is working extremely well for us.”
