REVISED: Ssangyong update Korando Sports
Ssangyong have revealed the revised 2014 version of the Korando Sports.
Priced from £15,042, the pick-up boasts two trim levels, a towing capacity increase to 2.7tonnes and a choice of three new hard-tops.
It also offers a Euro pallet-sized load deck, new speed-sensitive power-assisted steering and multi-link rear suspension.
Paul Williams, CEO of Ssangyong Motor UK, said: “The new Korando Sports is keenly priced and comprehensively equipped.
“From around £15,000 you get a lot of vehicle for the money, and the reassurance of a market-leading five-year limitless mileage warranty.
“Ssangyong is the only manufacturer to have that much confidence in its pick-up, and will give customers complete peace of mind.”
Buyers can choose from two models: the SX and EX.
The SX comes equipped with 16inch alloy wheels, tinted glass, air conditioning, leather steering wheel, remote central locking, Kenwood MP3 CD and RDS radio with a USB, auxiliary port and Bluetooth.
Meanwhile, the EX gets new 18inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated front seats, powered driver’s seat, heated, electrically-adjustable and power-folding door mirrors and rear parking sensors.
Six-speed automatic transmission with cruise control is also available as an option.
The three new hard-top designs are the £1,655 ‘Top Up’, £1,695 ‘Classic’ and £1,995 ‘Elegance’.
Powered by Ssangyong’s 155PS e-XDi diesel engine, the Korando Sports achieves 37.7mpg.
