NEW: Skoda Rapid Spaceback
Skoda’s new Rapid Spaceback will arrive in January 2014 priced from £14,340 and in three trim levels, it has been announced.
The vehicle will offer sector-best rear legroom and headroom, as well as a 415litre boot, and a choice of S, SE and Elegance trims.
Five fuel-efficient engines with power outputs ranging from 86PS to 122PS will also be available, with customers able to choose between manual and advanced DSG automatic transmissions.
A fleet-friendly GreenLine version, with CO2 emissions of just 99g/km, will be confirmed soon.
The second model in the Rapid range, the Spaceback comes with numerous personalisation options allowing buyers to tailor the car to their liking.
Options include a large panoramic glass roof and extended tailgate glass, both of which, Skoda claim, ‘give the Rapid Spaceback a unique appearance’.
All three Spaceback models are fitted with additional equipment over the Rapid.
Air conditioning is standard across the line-up, along with curtain airbags, front electric windows and a height and reach adjustable steering column.
SE models feature alloy wheels, acoustic rear parking sensors, cruise control and a Bluetooth telephone connection.
Meanwhile, Elegance models add, among other items, climate control, height-adjustable passenger seat and cornering front fog lights.
