MOVE: New device transferable between assets

Ctrack have launched a self-installed fleet tracking device for cars and vans that can be fitted within seconds and transferred between assets when required.

‘Plug and Play’ connects to the vehicle’s OBD II diagnostic port and captures telematics data, such as RPM, throttle position, load and temperature, enabling the monitoring of drivers.

It is aimed at companies that operate regularly-upgraded short-term rental vehicles, monitor the performance of sub-contractors, employ owner drivers and rental and leasing businesses.

The device will provide complete visibility of assets with advanced track and trace functionality that can be viewed in real-time.

It also provides a suite of reports which can be previewed on screen, downloaded, or automatically scheduled on a regular basis.

John Wisdom, Managing Director of Ctrack, said: “This latest telematics device will enable companies to implement a simple and effective tracking solution providing real-time visibility and control of vehicles which may have been prohibitive to install with a traditional hardwired telematics device.

“This will support increased protection and peace of mind that will help reduce overheads whilst increasing operational efficiency.”
