PARTNERS: Stuart Ferma and Steve McNamara
Toyota are the new official car supplier to the Rugby Football League (RFL), it has been announced.
The three-year partnership will see Toyota supply the governing body and England head coach Steve McNamara with a fleet of 50 UK-built Auris hatchbacks.
These will be used across the RFU, principally by performance and development staff, and are expected to cover more than a million miles every year.
James Mercer, Commercial Director of the RFL, said: “I am delighted to welcome Toyota, one of the biggest names in the motor industry, as our latest partner.
“To link up with such an established brand is a real coup and I look forward to working closely with them throughout the coming three years.”
Stuart Ferma, National Sales Manager of Toyota and Lexus Fleet Services, said: “We are proud to be the vehicle supply partner for the Rugby Football League and are delighted that they have chosen the British-built Auris.
“The RFL are supporting British workers with their choice of car and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
Auris is unique among compact hatchbacks in offering customers the choice of petrol, diesel and full hybrid powertrains.
The line-up will increase with the launch of Auris Touring Sports next month, a compact wagon.
