UNLEASHED: New Boxster GTS gains 330hp engine

Porsche’s new Boxster GTS will gain a more powerful 330hp engine and uprated chassis.

On sale now ahead of May delivery, the roadster – priced from £52,879 – boasts an optimised version of the 3.4litre engine, tuned to produce an additional 15hp.

Paired with optional Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) seven-speed double-clutch transmission, the two-seater can accelerate from 0-62mph in an improved 4.7seconds and boasts 34.4mpg.

With standard six-speed manual transmission, the GTS can hit 174mph and achieve an overall fuel consumption of 31.4mpg.

Porsche’s Active Suspension Management (PASM) is fitted as standard which, along with the Sport Chrono package, allows the driver to modify damper stiffness and change throttle characteristics.

Additional standard equipment includes 20inch Carrera S wheels, Bi-Xenon headlights, leather interior, Sports seats Plus, air conditioning, seven-inch touchscreen, MP3 connectivity, automatic headlights, stop-start and front electric windows.
